Nur einen Tag nach der Entlassung aus der Quarantäne in Sydney steht sie im Ring und wird beste Hündin. Am nächsten Tag gleich wieder.
Nur eine Woche nach der Entlassung aus der Quarantäne steht sie bei der grössten Ausstellung Australiens - dem Sydney Royal - im Ring und wird BEST OF BREED.
Dieser Lauf setzt sich fort: wo immer Champagne im Ring auftritt, steht sie ganz an der Spitze und schlägt im Alter von einem bis eineinhalb Jahren um viele Jahre ältere Hunde.

In nur 5 Monaten erreicht sie die für das Championat erforderlichen 100 Punkte und erlangt mit der Melbourne Royal Ausstellung am 28. August 1999, also nur 5 Monate nach ihrer Ankunft in Australien, den Titel AUSTRALISCHER CHAMPION.
Sie ist damit der erfolgreichste Hund aus dem C-Wurf de la Maison du Garde-Barrière und aus der Nachzucht dieser Zuchtstätte der einzige Hund, dem in so kurzer Zeit ein nationales Championat verliehen werden konnte.

Herzlichen Dank den Besitzern und herzlichen Glückwunsch ihnen und natürlich Champagne, einer Hündin, von der ich mich mehr als schwer getrennt habe.
Leider hat aber jeder Erfolg auch eine zweite Seite, eine schlechte: Champagne hat HD und kann daher nicht in die Zucht genommen werden. Ich bedaure diesen Umstand und wünschte von ganzem Herzen, dass es nicht so wäre, aber Mutter Natur hat anders entschieden.

Only one day after her leaving of the Sydney quarantine she is standing in the ring and turns to be Winners Bitch. Same result on the next day.
Only one week after she left quarantine she stands in the ring of Australias biggest show - the Sydney Royal - and turns to be BEST OF BREED.
This run continues: wherever Champagne stands in the ring she is on the top and beats at the age of just one to one and a half year dogs which are many years older.

Within only 5 months she reaches the necessary 100 points for turning Champion and gets the title CHAMPION OF AUSTRALIA at the Melbourne Royal Show on August 28th, 1999.
Therewith she is the most successful dog out of the C-litter de la Maison du Garde-Barrière and the one and only offspring out of this kennel, who earned a national championship in such a short time.

A warm thank you to the owners and a warm congratulation to them and of course Champagne, a girl from which I parted more than with huge pain. Unfortunately each success also has another side, a bad one: Champagne is dysplastic and therefore cannot be bred with. I regret this fact and wished it was not like that, but mother nature has decided in another way.
